Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the PhotoGO AI mobile application ("App") and the website photogoai.app ("Site") collect, process, store, and protect your personal data. We deeply respect the privacy of your personal information and your photos.
1. Photo Library Access and Processing
To perform its core features (finding duplicates, compressing heavy videos, organizing media), the App requests authorization to access your local Photo Library on your iOS device.
- On-Device Processing: All processing, photo analysis, duplicate group search, and video compression calculations occur exclusively on your local iPhone device. We do not upload, send, or store your private photos, videos, or screenshots on our servers or any third-party servers.
- AI Security: Our machine learning models and neural networks run entirely inside the iOS operating system sandbox without relying on network data transmissions.
2. Data Collection and Usage
We collect the minimum amount of information required to verify your subscriptions and maintain account sync services:
- Email Address: If you choose to create a synchronization account inside the App or on the Site, we store your email address and password hash in Firebase Auth to authenticate your credentials and synchronize premium status across your authorized devices.
- Technical Analytics: We may collect anonymous technical data (e.g., iOS version, device model, system locale, crash logs) to optimize the performance of the App. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.
3. Data Transfers to Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to external parties. Your account credentials and premium status are securely stored within our Firebase Cloud infrastructure under standard privacy policies.
To help you identify the best shot in duplicate photo groups, PhotoGO AI offers an optional feature powered by the Gemini API via Google Cloud.
- Data Categories Transmitted: When you select “AI Analyze” in a duplicate group, the App creates resized preview thumbnails of those photos, compressed to a maximum dimension of 384 pixels with metadata, location data, and EXIF headers removed. Original files and photo identifiers are not transmitted.
- Purpose of Processing: The previews are sent temporarily to the Google Cloud Gemini API to analyze sharpness, composition, lighting, and facial expressions and recommend which shot to keep.
- Storage and Retention: PhotoGO AI does not store the images. Google processes them in memory; for the paid Gemini API, Google may temporarily retain prompts and responses to prevent abuse, without using them to train its models.
- Consent and Revocation: This feature is optional and requires your explicit consent. You may give or revoke consent at any time in Settings → Gemini AI Coach.
- De-identified AI Usage Statistics: We retain the fact that a recommendation was used, group size, model confidence, model version, locale, and time. Photo identifiers and images themselves are not retained.
4. User Rights
Under applicable privacy regulations, you have the right to:
- Revoke the App's access to your Photo Library at any time via your iOS Settings.
- Request the deletion of your registered email account and associated configuration data by contacting us at support@photogoai.app.
5. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If changes are made, we will update the revision date at the top of this document.
6. Contacts
